McCall's 6507

Hey, um, Spring?  Hi.  It's me.

So... when were you planning to arrive?  Soon?  Good.  'Cause I want to wear this dress.

Isn't it just too cute?  To make it, I slightly modified McCall's 6507, omitting the front drape.  You see, I'd cut out a simple tank top to wear with my summer skirts, which left my yardage a little too short.

The little shrug is a silk/cotton blend with a lot of body.  I love the contrast between the two colors.  This shrug is (heavily) modified from vintage Simplicity 4249.

I should have taken a picture of the back. It's so pretty!  I raised the U a bit, because it looked a little low (I have to wear a proper bra), but I don't think I even needed to!  It's deceptive, is what it is.

In other news, we now match!

"Yes.  Quite."

I'm excited to see some more versions of this dress!  Especially ones with the drape!

    1. Thank you! The polka-dot fabric was a Christmas gift from my sister, and I think this was the perfect pattern for it!
